It seems like the mighty mouse is not such a great mouse, a lot of them break. any better alternatives for it?

Logitech. I use a wireless mighty mouse right now, and it's great, though. Haven't ever cleaned it, and the battery lasts very long. The only problem is, sometimes the right mouse button works as a left, which is irritating.

so in other words, there are no substitute for a mighty mouse? no other mouse thats a one click? damn, i mean i like the mighty mouse but i've heard it breaks a lot and you have to go replace it every 6 months.

I've used nothing but Logitech mice for many years. I currently use the VX Nano with my MBP. I wanted a Bluetooth mouse, but Logitech has very few choices with BT. At least the dongle on the VX Nano is so tiny, you can leave it plugged in all the time and never notice it. The mouse has 5 programmable buttons, a super-fast scroll wheel (excellent for zipping through long forum threads), extremely long battery life and it's own travel pouch. I couldn't be happier!

There are 1 button mouses available but they do not offer the right click functionally that the Mighty Mouse does. So, most just go for a normal mouse.

Personally, I've never understood the disdain which is often heaped upon the mighty mouse. I do agree its build quality is not up to Apple' typical standards, but I love the design and functionality of it. But, I appear to be alone in the desert on this...

I use a White Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse. Its a really good Mouse and only cost $10.
Its a shame its so much better than Apple's $50 mouse.

I actually have had those things break on me fairly frequently on my windows machines. My might mouse (knock on wood) hasn't showed bad aspect of it, even the whole one button thing that alot of not mac people complain about. I actually find myself sometimes pushing the control button when i click on a windows machine subconsciously.

I however like Kensington mice myself.

LOL JUST ordered this, I wanted the more expensive one but this should do just fine :)

awesome dude im getting mine tomorrow :)

i have the vx non nano and its ok but i want the nano more
alot of people said that the vx nano is better then both mx and vx :D

Logitech MX Revolution is the best mate.. Mighty Mouse is just a waste of money - a piece of crap not worthing of bearing an apple logo...

I love my two bluetooth might mouse units. I keep two because the I use one with each Mac. :D

The only non-Apple piece of equipment currently in use with a Mac is a Dell monitor. The Apple monitor offerings are so bad it makes you want to cry.

Same here

Almost exactly the same situation here. I've used the Apple wireless mighty mouse basically since they released it, and I've never cleaned it and it still works like new. The fake mouse button is a little irritating, though. I do have a friend who had trouble with the mightly mouse within a few months. I think hand cleanliness is probably key because they have kids, which tend to gum things up.

I just use a cheapo Dell 2 button mouse with scroll wheel - Its ugly but works perfect. I need to find a cool sticker to hide the Dell Logo :p
