A bit of an odd request, but here goes...

Is there any software out there other than Apple DVD Player that can play (non-commercial) HD DVDs? Apple's player is dropping frames on my system so I'd like to try something else if possible.

Otherwise, are there any tricks to get better performance out of DVD Player?

Well I know VLC plays ripped HD DVD's, as I have played them with VLC many times. Are you talking about a regular DVD or a rip?

It's an unprotected disc created with DVD Studio Pro. I'd imagine that there's no difference between that and a direct rip.

As mentioned in post #3, I've tried VLC. I couldn't get it to play it, but there may be a trick to it. What did you do in order to get them to play?
