alternative to applecare

need some help choosing a warranty to applecare.

the reason is because the sent me a better machine than ordered from the refurb store and apple wont cover the "upgraded" components, just the ones that are right. i know, bitter sweet reity of getting something for nothing...

Not personally but I know they're extremely popular and most of the comments I read online are positive.

Remember, you only get what you pay for. For example, these "other" product insurance schemes do not cover free on-line support from Apple.

Another option is to use the Education discount for Applecare. No proof required. It's $183 for the MBA, for example.

I've used square trade...they're legitimate and reliable.
