Hey guys, i know that Final Cut is the best in the business, but i dont have enough money to get it, so i was wondering what other video edditing software is out there that is good for mac?

still 300$, wow.. looks very good though, are there any freeware apps, or should i look into spending the money if i really want to get into video editing?

Ummm, thats a slightly confusing statement. Pinnacle is owned by Avid.

Avid Free DV is Avid software, and is in no way Pinnacle branded. The only Avid product advertised using the Pinnacle brand is Avid Liquid, which is Windows only.

Good point, have only ever used Liquid and it works quite well. I simply assumed it was the same for Mac OSX.

so are these the only two alternatives for finalcut, i was using iDVD for a little bit, but it does not want to work with my mpg files for some reason...
