Title pretty much says it all, not sure whether this is a stupid question but i noticed jailbreakme do not support 4.2.1 and i do not want to downgrade, is there any alternatives?

Thanks.

There is currently no Jailbreak for 4.2.1. My brother has what they call a "tethered" jailbreak, but you dont want that. Just wait a few more weeks, word is there might be one by Xmas.

jailbreakme was an old firmware update...which iphone do you have? I THINK any version can do a tethered jailbreak, but as for untethered jaillbreak it MIGHT be possible on older models; not sure though

the dev team is suppose to be releasing one before christmas...at least according to comex's twitter

I have iPhone 4 to the guy who asked.

I'm not to good with this stuff, i jailbroke my last iPhone (The 3G) with RedSn0w, but now i have the iPhone 4.

What does 'tethered' and 'untethered' mean?

Sorry, just need a little noob help.

:)

Do you have any SHSH for 4.1 saved?

If you at least have 4.1, what's more important to you JB or 4.2 functions?

I think for now if you wanna jb, you should stay at 4.1 for now, until a 4.2 untethered for iphone4 is released.

Unless airprint and airplay is that important to you.
