Is there an alternative to the Locayta App ?
Not only it is free, but it seems it's better than paid app. I'm looking for an alternative because the recent dropbox API update broke the Locayta sync. Now Locayta will probably update soon to fix this, but this reminded me it's not enough to rely to just one app. So I'm trying to find a replacement.
For example I bought the Notesy app with 4 dollars which had very good feedback on Appstore only to find out the search function is weaker. The sync has problems sometimes. And cost 4 dollars and it seems is has 10 times more downloads than Locayta. Why ?
On Locayta you search for a word in all the texts you have, as soon as you start typing the word - Locayta suggest words based on existing words in your texts. And it shows instantly the highlighted text. You can click the file text and inside the searched word is highlighted.
Also the sync seems better, more reliable (before the dropbox update).
And also compared to other "cloud" text apps Locayta works perfectly offline.
