Alternative to mStand or Griffin

Hi people!
mStand is expensive - at least for me, so Griffin stand!
But I need something that does the same thing: elevate my macbook pro to be at the same height as the monitor.

I can build or buy anything if its cheaper than these two products.

Does anybody have any idea? Pictures?

Everybody just spent 50 dollars on this piece of metal and have no alternative?

Amazon are showing quite a few alternatives. Not Mac-specific, but more flexible than the two mentioned above...
