Need to finally say goodbye to an old friend.

Here's the list of things I need in a new audio editing app. It's a small limited list, but each item has to be there.

- Has something similar to Soundtrack Pro's "Set Noise Print" feature
- Fast, responsive to trimming and cutting pasting.
- Exports to the typical formats, AIFF, .MP3
- Is modern and runs with the latest OS
- Sees regular updates
- Is $100 or under

Any options out there like this? Thanks for any ideas!

Well I poked around and i think the winner is going to be... Amadeus Pro. It's one of the few budget audio editing apps that has a set noise print feature, as I found in this video here. Hopefully this'll help other people in the future who have similar needs to mine...

Did you consider Audacity? I believe a feature you are looking for is Noise Reduction, and the ability to capture a representative sample (set noise print, or as Audacity has labeled it, Get Noise Profile), the process the selected audio to remove such profile. It is an open source project, and receives regular updates. The interface is a little old school, but I find it very easy to learn and use. I also use Audition CS6 and the audio tools in FCPX, but you can't beat the price of Audacity.
