I'm wanting to get one of those touch screen calendars for my wife for Christmas.

The price is decent but I don't like the idea of a subscription and don't see the point for our use.

She would just want one that syncs with Apple Calender and I do t see what we'd need a subscription.

Ideas?

Could you share a product link of what your talking about? I use an echo show 15 that I have on the wall that can display my calendar. I have not personally done it but im pretty sure you can sync the calendar with icloud.

The Skylight Calendar is the only other one I've heard of. While they do have a subscription ($39/year), it isn't required. (The subscription is for photo screensaver, meal planning, and magic import.)

Also might be worth keeping in mind that Apple is rumored to be releasing a HomePod with an iPad-like display next year. Guessing that would have calendar capabilities too, but obviously wouldn't have it for Christmas.
