I go to school at the University of Phoenix partially online and the UoP servers are not compatible with the Office X so I have to use Thunderbird.

I use Thunderbird for my school e-mail and newsgroups but I really don't like it. Dare I say I'd rather use a Microsoft product.

My biggest grip is the constant entering of passwords even when you click the save checkbox. It doesn't save crap.

Any alternatives?

What version of Thunderbird are you using? i remember the password save problem from older releases and avoided the program just because of that, but 1.5 seems to have its act together.

I suspect that you can make them work with Entourage or even Mail.app if you can make them work with TBird. They probably just don't want to support other clients. Personallly I prefer TBird 1.5, but the others have their place.

What are the server account settings in TBird?
