Alternative To Unison?

Hi folks,

I have been using unison for a number of year now and I find it's become a bit unstable as of late. It seems to hang on me, especially when loading up bigger newsgroups. I'm wondering what the best alternative would be? I don't mind paying for something decent.

For the Mac, that's the best one. There is http://sabnzbd.org/ as well.

If you can load up Windows, Newsleecher is great. It's like Unison except it works 1000% faster.

It's disappointing that Unison is the best. It works good for text groups and smaller groups but I've been subscribed to some groups for so long that they have millions of posts and Unison keeps freezing on me trying to load them up and things like this.

It hasn't been updated in a while and I feel it's become more unstable since Mavericks, especially since 10.9.2. I would be happy to pay full price for another update but it looks like the develope has lost interest, which is a shame.

I second sabnzbd. It has been great. Was little odd at first setting up and going through configuration but it works great and us free.
