I'm looking to buy an extra MBP battery, because one just won't cut it.
I'm in a situation where I need to use my MBP for 8 hours straight without any power outlet at my disposal.

Now I was wondering if there's an alternative way to charge an MBP internal battery, externally? Because it would be a real pain to change batteries each time I want to recharge one of them.

Or, are there any alternatives you know of to suit my needs?

Thanks in advance!

My university's tech department uses several of THESE to charge their library loaner Macbook batteries between checkouts. I asked them about it once as I was having the need to keep two batteries charged. Said that it helps with conditioning as well.

Thanks, that looks really interesting.

Quite welcome :). And that brand is good - I have a couple hard drive docks from them. And as far as the reseller - OtherWorldComputing - they are excellent as well and do a lot of international business. I have one of their SSDs in my iMac.

A HyperMac MB060 would also work. Probably cheaper too.

I can get a HyperMac MBP150 for €200 (second hand).
Which is about the same price as an extra removable battery + charging station.

Which option would you recommend & why?
