alternatives to airport?

so are there any? i haven't really been able to find a cheaper or comparably priced pcie wireless card, anybody know of one?

also, will airport allow me to use my MP as a wireless router? as in, modem, ethernet, MP, to the air?

Airport is much easier to use with other wireless devices and it gives much better control and ease of use. Trust me, airport is the way to go. And yes, airport will allow your Mac Pro to act as a wireless router, I use mine for my home network.
