I've been a MacBook Pro (MBP) user for nearly 15 years now, but, unfortunately, my work is forcing me back to the dark side of M$ Windoze for an important project. About 6 or 7 years back, the Apple wireless mouse that I was using for pointing/clicking started keeping me up at night (with pain), so I was [begrudgingly] forced to learn to use the trackpads installed in our MBPs. Fast forward to today and you couldn't pay me to use a mouse again!
As we recently tested out new Dell and a new HP Win 11 PC laptops - both with nice-looking large "touch pads" installed - I was very surprised to discover that both touch pads [and I'm putting this kindly] were for crap! I mean, compared to the track pads on our MBPs, these things were light years behind! Why? Mainly because the PC laptop touch pads perform the "click" function with the mere brush of a finger tip and, as most Mac users already know, it takes a purposeful (and audible) finger press to accomplish the click function via an Apple track pad.
NOTE: I was so frustrated by these touch pads that I adjusted the Win 11 sensitivity settings for both PC laptops to their minimum settings - to no positive effect!
If anyone has used both an Apple trackpad and a PC trackpad - and has experienced the same thing I have - I'd appreciate how you went about alleviating this maddening issue. For example, are there wireless PC keyboards out there that have a decent "Apple-like" touch pad built into them?
Thank you kindly for your help.
