As you all may know Apple is shutting down the Fotostream service. For someone like me who uses it daily it's a nightmare. So here is my question to anyone who uses it regularly as well, what will you do? Switch to iCloud Fotos and pay for something that was free up to now? Sync manually? Set up an automation? Connect the phone to the Mac every evening with a cable to sync the photos? What are the alternatives?

I just want to automatically have the photos shot on my iPhone appear on my Mac. I don't need to see the thousands of fotos in my Mac library on my iPhone. I don't want to pay 10 Euros a month for iCloud. How can I make the iPhone upload the latest photos and only them to my Mac?

Nobody? Oh well. :)

Another solution I can think of is to create a shared folder and copy the photos I want to sync manually. The shared folder will work without paying for iCloud Fotos, correct?
