Alternatives to Parallels

I'm going to buy the new iMac and Win 7 tomorrow and I've got a quick question about Parallels resp. virtualizers in general.
Which program would you recommend me? Doesn't matter whether it's free or shareware. Basically, I'll use it for Office, Paltalk and other minor things.
I first thought about buying Parallels since it's being promoted on Apple's site but I've read somewhere that there are other good softwares around like VirtualBox and VMware.

Yes, there are other good softwares around. Like virtualbox and vmware.
There's a search engine, you know... If you already know about the only three competitors, why wouldn't you try to find out on your own?
