Hi folks. By pressing the power on button, I eventually get the chime sound, but the power button doesn't light up. Hard- and DVD-drives get in rotation, but then nothing further. I had a Tiger DVD locked in the optical drive, it took about 50 tries with trackpads button pressed down by starting-up before it ejected.
I tried the original DVD, same thing, disk stuck in the drive, unable to boot and not ejecting anymore.
Only way to be sure to get the chime gong, is to reset the PMU before (re)pressing the power-on button, after having made a forced shut-off with the same button pressed 6 seconds.
Does anyone know if it's an DC-power board or logic board problem?
(or an other cause?)
I have been trying with disconected SuperDrive, then with disconected hard disk, always the same: the connected drive starts to spin round and evrything stays so untill I make a Forced Shut Down... new PMU reset and new Start try...
Thanx
