I have an issue with my nearly brand new MacBook (about 5 weeks old). Sometimes (regardless of brightness) I get a row of conical shadows at the bottom of my screen. It comes and goes. Is this problem normal? I know the unibody MBs are new but has anyone else seen anything about this? I would go to an Apple store and ask but it happens about 50% of the time and the nearest store is an hour away.

for reference: I have the AU screen. Not the LG Philips.

TIA:eek:

Doesn't sound normal.. Before you go to the Store, I would call Apple Care..

thanks for the suggestion. thats going to be a total PITA trying to explain this on the phone:p

Why? Just tell them exactly what's going on, and see if they have any suggestions. Worse case scenario they won't know what it is and just tell you to take it in to a store.
