I just got my first macbook scratch on the bottom of my macbook. im not sure how it happened. It looks like a small hair that I just cant wipe away. I was wondering what other people's macbook's look like after they've encountered scratching.

can you post pictures?

I have a scratch on the bottom of mine as well but I dont care seeing that it's on the bottom!
Nobody really looks at the bottom of your computer. I'd just leave it be unless it bothers you that much.

i dont really caere so much. im just interested in seeing about what other peoples look like

This seems rather silly. Are you hoping to find several cases of "Spontaneous scratching" in the same place on multiple macs? I just don't get it.

no, just curious on what other people's scratches look like. Im not looking to fix mine. I understand that aluminum is a metal that will scratch. And im not saying that I expect other people to have scratches in the same place either.

I just dont understand how you intend to benefit from 'seeing' other peoples scratches.... What are you trying to achieve/learn from this thread?

It might be interesting to compare wear & tear with others, to see if yours is any worse. I know there are a bunch of scratch/cracking threads for the white Macbooks, which helped me determine whether or not mine were abnormal or premature. Also, as a potential future owner of an aluminum MacBook, I'd be interested to see what it'll look like after a few months of use.

happened to mine too on the bottom :D haha but mine was from a staple on my calender, it was on the battery door... I switched it with my sisters macbook...shhhhhhhh :)

You might want to invest in a wig and some make up for when you go to the Genius Bar next.
