Alum MB optical noises upon wake

Whenever I close my MB and then later open it (when it wakes up), the optical drive makes some noises. The drive is working fine (havent tried burning anything yet though). I am just wondering if this is normal and happening with other people. I do not remember my white crackbook doing this however...

No, this is a normal thing to happen on both the new and old MB and the new MacBook pro!
