I have an aluminium iMac, 2.4GHz Intel C2D, 2GB RAM, running Leopard.

On one account, it runs slowly, with a noticeable delay in doing anything, even menus take a second do to anything once they've been clicked.

It has all the updates installed and I've tried repairing the permissions and rebooting already.

Since I've only noticed it on one account, I'm inclined to think it's a corrupted user file or something.

Any suggestions? If you need more info, just ask :)

You could try backing up your files from that account onto an External Hard Drive, delete the account and remake it.

I'm just guessing but that might work :)

Thanks Kieranic, but I worked out that Parallels was the culprit! The person who owns the account used Parallels all the time, and it uses over 800MB RAM then dosen't clean up after itself when it's done!

When the Mac was used without loading up Parallels, all was well!
