Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my Alum. Macbook's battery. I was hoping for a larger capacity one. I did a quick google search and unsurprisingly couldn't find any.

I know my laptop is discontinued but does anyone know of any larger capacity replacement batteries for this laptop? If not I'll have to go OEM:apple:.

I would say never buy off Amazon or eBay unless you trust the seller. You could get a knock-off battery and cause some serious damage to your computer. Apple stores/authorised resellers may have replacement batteries, but I'm not sure.

The ones on ebay are around $60-$80AUD which is quite a lot less than what apple wants $199AUD...:( Are there any reliable 3rd party battery providers?

It's not just about reliability. When did you buy your AlBook? Did you extend Applecare to 3 years?

I didn't get the Applecare and I've had the macbook for 17 months. The battery is dying and I know the warranty is only for 1year. *sigh*
