I know that before I went to the store this morning I wanted to see some comparison shots of the old vs new MacBook. I don't think anyone has provided any so far, so here are some I took on my iPhone:

I have a question for you:

How far can you tilt the screen of the new macbook backwards? further than the blackbook or not?

in the manuals of both machines it states 130 degrees... but i want to know if that is the actual limit.

Yes, I would also like to know. Also, when holding the two, does the aluminum mb feel significantly lighter?

I agree with acfusion, there is not a significant difference and it isn't really noticeable. The tilt of the screen is definitely much less than the Blackbook.

so now it's even more difficult to work with the laptop on your lap and viewing the screen at a right angle?
Or has the viewing angle of the screen been improved?

oh well... I will get one anyway i think. It's just one thing i don't really like about my gf's current whitebook.

Thanks for the photos. Good Job.

Quick question: does the Alu MB have the razor sharp edges? How does that compare to Black MB?

Thanks.

Does the battery level indicator stay lit all the time or did you press the button right before taking the picture?

The screen-tilt of my aluminum MacBook has never limited my ability to use the screen. In fact, I was under the impression that there was more room to tilt the screen with the aluminum than the plastic MacBooks. True? Not true?

The new aluminum MacBooks can tilt their displays further back than the plastic MacBooks.

I've been checking out the aluminum MacBooks at the Apple Store to replace my stolen 1st gen. plastic MacBook. They tilt back further than both my old MacBook and the white Nvidia MacBooks in the store. It doesn't seem like much, but it makes a big and welcome difference.

I always thought it was more tilt to help you deal with any glare that might arise. The biggest problem was using my unibody at an airport with the lights behind my head. No matter which way I sat or moved, the light always seemed to be right behind my head (thus creating a nice silhouette). However, it is only that rare occasion for me so far.

Cool, that's what I thought was the case. Those few extra degrees of flexibility do come in handy.

I wish they would offer a black version. I would jump all over it in a heart beat.
Thanks for the pics:apple:
