Hi,

There's a little spot on the palm wrest of my MBP 15" that looks like the silver finish faded. The spot is black. I don't think this is an external stain.

What should I do? Is there paint I can use?

I saw somewhere that the mr. clean sponge (magic eraser) works well. dont use too much water though. Your problem is very common in macbook users so im sure that there are other forums that talk about solutions

Do you have a link to a thread with someone with a similar problem?

I bought a Magic Eraser. It didn't work.

Does anyone have any idea how to sand down the metal where your palm rests? How can I buff that area up?

This happened on my friend's PB G4, it's just the silver finish wearing off, you need to buy a new palmrest.
