I just got a new Core i3 iMac which came with the aluminum bluetooth keyboard. I have Boot Camp installed, so I want to be able to use the boot selection by holding the Option key at startup. This does not work with the aluminum keyboard. However, I found that the older bluetooth (plastic) keyboard, and a 3rd party bluetooth keyboard both work. Is there a defect in my new aluminum keyboard, or is this a known issue?

Yea...I attempted doing that as well with no response, But I figured it was normal since I assumed that the Bluetooth was not operational during boot up. Interesting to hear that it has worked for you with other BT Keyboards though. My scenario is a 15" MBP & an external 23" ACD so I'm not quite sure if that has something to do with it as opposed to attempting with an iMac

im able to do it with my aluminum BT, always have been, never had to configure anything
