Aluminum Cinema displays and iMac G5 measurements

Anybody here that has a 20" iMac and a 20" or 23" Cinema display, are the displays the same height from the ground? If not, would you be able to give me the height measurements?

I'm looking to buy one as a second display, and want to make sure that they will be the same height. I think I'd get another 20" just for the sake of matching, and I've heard of a lot of issues with pink hue/cast on the 23" models.

I could've sworn that my adapter system worked for connecting Mini-VGA to DVI monitors, because I had one of these ages ago. I might be mistaken though, but I remember using it with a 12" PowerBook. Did that have mini-DVI?

If that included a VGA to DVI converter of some sort, it could have worked. You can get these quite inexpensively these days.

The 867MHz 12in PB doesn't have MiniDVI but the faster 12ins do.
 
Here's a picture of a 20" ACD next to a 20" 2006 iMac, same form factor as the G5. The ACD sits significantly lower.

It's a challenge to be sure. I use a 21" 2010 iMac in my classroom as my primary computer, and have a 20" ACD off to the side. I prop it up with a stand made of Legos to get it to the proper height. Silly, perhaps, but effective :)

Also, would any of you happen to know if a 2006, 2008, or 2010 iMac would be able to drive a 30" Cinema Display at full resolution? If it can I would consider just buying that and using it with my 17" 2006, or even my 2010 and having it as the main display.
 
No way with the 2006 or 2008, the 2010 can but needs a somewhat expensive "Mini Displayport to Dual Link DVI Adapter".
