I've found a aluminum MacBook with the 2.4, 2gb ram and 250gb hard drive here locally for 600. It is in great shape. From what I've been able to find out about it, it was released around late 2008. Does anyone know how long it was in production? I somewhat remember it being available still in mid 2009. Also, is it worth the $600? The guy has another buyer but I was first to make contact so I have first option through end of today. Was there any type of known flaws with this version?

Thanks! I've looked over the specs and it seems to be almost identical to the previous generation MacBook that was just replaced a few weeks ago.

If it is in good shape, that's a great deal. I have that exact model, and it is a great computer, never have had problems with it. It was produced from late 2008 (don't remember exact date) to june 09. It was one of the shortest lived models made, but it is basically a 13" pro, minus the pro name.

I guess for the price of a used apple laptop, it's somewhat fair. But based purely on specs, you can find better for the price if you want a non-apple laptop.
