I have a aluminum macbook that I got in January of this year, it has 131 cycles on it, and a health of 90%.

Is that good?

Very good.

I'm on the fifth battery of my MacBook Pro (first generation,) and at 63 cycles, the battery is at 76% health (or, according to the System Profiler "Check Battery".)

My Blackbook from March of last year has 222 cycles and istat still says 100% health...

Ok, I don't understand why my health is so low then?

Because the ability to hold capacity is a little different from unit to unit. Yours is well within spec at the moment, ref26 got very lucky and has an unusually resilient battery.

Stop worrying about your battery capacity and just use it. If it starts to drop dramatically then you have a problem.

Thats terrible. I taught apple has to replace it if its under 80 % in less than 300 cycles?

Try CoconutBattery or you could just divide the max charge by the battery's rated charge (look online for this as it is dependent on what model you have)

Im on 90 cycles and 98%.

Its only dipped since I stopped using it on battery most of the time. I now have to go out of my way to use it on battery just because I dont have the opportunity (no wifi and in a small room, it doesnt need to move).

On the other hand, the old white macbook that i used to have which is still in the family is sitting on 99% and its done 154 cycles. That gets used on its battery a lot more.

A friend of mine has an earlier macbook and she uses it almost only on the battery. Its about to clock over 500 cycles and its still at over 100% capacity.

Mine is from February. I have 98 cycles and it's at 99% health.

I got mine in February too. Coconut battery is saying 99% with 178 cycles.

OP, I wouldn't be concerned, but then again I would keep it in the back of my head. It is too early to say, but seeing that you have 90% in under 150 cycles - that could raise an eyebrow...

CrackBookPro:cool:

4117/4500 at 161 charges, 91.5% System was bought new in feb, but was manufactured around November I think.
