Has anyone with a new MacBook tried running an external display with a resolution of 1650 X 1050 yet? I'm wondering how the performance is and if any lag is felt when driving a display of that resolution? I plan on using my MacBook in desktop mode for a good amount of time so this is an important factor in my decision.

No Problems Here.

I have mine driving a 24" Dell Ultrasharp at 1920x1200 with no noticeable issues. Of course I am not playing any games, so that could certainly be a factor, but no problems with relatively basic usage along with some Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash.

I can't wait to see how it pushes that new 24" LED Cinema display! This is the set up I have been waiting for. But there's one concern I have, I'm worried that when driving an external display, it splits the memory of the graphic processor. This could really hinder graphic performance when connected to an external display. Even for mild applications... :(
