Yesterday I discovered that the only acceptable contrast setting on my new aluminum MacBook is all the way down. The way you can choose the contrast setting is to click on the File menu of the browser you are reading this in and make sure you can see the horizontal line separators in the File menu. I set the keyboard shortcuts to control contrast with the F1 and the F2 function keys, and I also changed the F keys into standard function keys. So, if I hit F2 (Increase Contrast) a few times, and look at the File menu of the browser, the horizontal separators completely disappear. This happens at any Brightness level. Whereas the range allows me to to increase Contrast beyond usable settings, I cannot decrease Contrast even one step down from the acceptable settings when the horizontal separator lines are distinct enough.

So, it appears that the range of Contrast settings is not set correctly. There's too much leeway on the Increase Contrast end of the range and almost no leeway on the Decrease Contrast end of the range beyond the first acceptable contrast setting.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?
