I have a 17" iMac to which I have a wireless Apple keyboard connected to it. I bought it off a friend, but he had no previous problems like this. The keyboard will constantly disconnect at random times for a second or two. This is only a problem because it wakes my iMac during the night, and forces me to shut the iMac completely off. It only does this for a few days, then I can use it for about a month without any trouble. I've changed the batteries several times, that does not fix it. Does anyone know what could be the problem here? I've deleted a keyboard preference file or something in the past and it didn't work.

If there's nothing that can be done about it, does anyone at least know a terminal command i can run that tells the iMac not to reconnect to the keyboard once it disconnects (so it won't wake from sleep when the keyboard disconnects).

Thanks in advanced!

PS: my old white wireless keyboard never had these problems
