Always On Display Notifications Not showing after a while?

Hey Guys .. Iphone 15 pro max running 17.0.3 .. Not sue if this is supposed to happen. Always on display is set to on, w wallpaper and notifications both ticked. My wife's phone always shows the notifications on the lock screen w always on.. Mine stay on for a few minutes and they disappear from the always on lock screen. Spoke w Apple senior advisor he's saying they should stay on unless acted on.. But wasn't 100% sure.. So I'm reaching out to my fellow Rumor peeps.. Thanks in Advance for any help.

What are the settings from which apps do these notifications come, I know that for instance if you use whatsapp on a Mac, that the notification will disseapper, don't know if you have apps that share notifications across your devices.

Also when you have a apple Watch and you remove there a notifications it's also gone on the iPhone.
