After living a week with my iPhone 14 Pro, I’m finding that the always on display is practically useless because notifications are displayed in stacks, not in the setting that I have configured my notifications, List.

The whole point of an AOD is to be able to glance at the phone without picking it up to see the notifications, right? It just doesn’t make sense to me why these notifications are shown behind one another and the phone has to be picked up or tapped to see them.

Am I missing something or is this just crappy design?

I guess it depends on how you look at the AOD feature. If you feel it’s useless then it is.

For me all of my notifications aren’t going to be visible on the Lock Screen even if they were not stacked.

In future updates Apple can tweak the AOD. I can work with it as it is now. Software is constantly evolving on any platform. Sometimes you gotta work with what we have currently.
