I had a few comments in my earlier thread comparing the always-on with the Series 5 vs the Series 6 that the watches were at slightly different angles and that's why the Series 6 looked brighter. I re-did this test using my wife's Series 5 and my Series 6. This time the Series 5 is on the left and Series 6 is on the right. Sorry the size watches aren't the same and neither are the complications but you get the idea.

What level was the brightness at during that photo? Reason why I’m asking getting my series 6 soon, wonder if you need to have the brightness set to max to use it outdoors.

Just eyeballing the gauge it looks like it's about 2/3 of the way to full brightness. It's the default brightness since I never change that.

So glad to see there isn’t much difference
I also live in a country where sunlight is rare so this feature is rather irrelevant most of the time lol.

It's at least twice as bright, just like Apple said. I have the opposite problem of you since I live in the "sunshine state".
