Hello all,

I just received my first macbook pro 2011 15" with ssd and hi res anti glare and 6750 card.
Before working on a mac i used google picasa to edit my photo's and the software always sync http://allwaysync.com/ to copy the changes to my nas server.

However after looking on google i can't seem to find any alternative for mac.
Does anyone know an alternative for this? preferably free.
Time machine is not an alternative.

thx,
cyrus

can't choose network shares.

I donwloaded the backup 3.2 application since it was not in the app list.
But it looks like backup cannot synchronize to network shares, only to idisk , external disk or the current disk.

Do you know another that can do this ?

I'm curious why Time Machine isn't an option - it doesn't do exactly what you're asking, but if the purpose is a backup, then it's a good app.

For true 'sync' a quick Google found this page, which recommends a few:
http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/how-to-sync-your-files-on-mac

I've never used any of them myself, but they seem to do what you're asking.
ChronoSync seems to get the most love, but it's not free.

PS If you don't have an offsite backup, you don't really have a backup. I like http://www.crashplan.com/ - I'm not affiliated with them, just a happy customer.

always sync alternative for mac

As you are looking for an alternative to allwayssync for mac.I will advise you to try Free MobileMe an alternative to how to set up Google sync for mac and iPhone. Hope that this information is useful in resolving your trouble.
