I Just installed my Vertex Plus and after 2 weeks Got it to finally update to the new firmware. Its running flawless. But I Thought I Would run the Black Magic Disk Speed Test in the App Store on it, I Got 128mb/s With both Read and write. According to OCZ it maxes out at 250 read and 180 right. But that is tested on SATA 2. Since my MacBook Pro Seems to be SATA 1 is that the bottleneck of not getting speeds near that?? It is faster than the 40-60mb/s I Was getting on my HDD and since I Got the drive for $130 (which is close to $1/gb) and its a 120gb Drive i'm happy with it. But I Would like your input! Is there a better Program to measure the speed?? My Boot time is around 8-10 seconds.
