Hi there. I'll try to make this simple:
- I have set up a mac mini for my kids to run a game called Minecraft as a server.
- I port forwarded my APE to :25565
- it works great. Have up to 20 players at a time

Here is what worries me
- in the last few days I have been getting an ip spammed on terminal
example:
09:04:31 [INFO] /94.231.109.47:58416 lost connection
09:14:29 [INFO] /94.231.109.47:41528 lost connection
09:24:11 [INFO] /94.231.109.47:51278 lost connection
09:34:39 [INFO] /94.231.109.47:35465 lost connection
09:44:17 [INFO] /94.231.109.47:45225 lost connection
>
same ip over and over again. some time 15 attempts long.
just the port # changing.

Should I be worried? is there a way to block this ip?

Thanks for any advise and help. I love the site

NOt sure I understand

Sim how is it that this same ip 94.231.109.47 is trying to connect to my server? Sometimes it is every 30 seconds. If it was random ip's trying to connect I would get it. but this same ip over and over again just changing the port number seems like someone trying to access my machine on another port.

Did you read the first link he posted? It's evidently the Minecraft server list checking to make sure your sever is online. Read through the page.

oops. did not click on links
