So I don't remember it always working like this, but maybe I'm mistaken...
When I get an email, I'll feel the haptic on my wrist. I will then pick up my phone and read the email. After doing so, the watch still displays the little red notification dot and the email notification remains in the watch's notification pulldown. Clearing the email notification on the phone does not clear it on the watch. It's like this on both my email accounts (one iCloud email account, one work Exchange account).
Is that the way it's supposed to work??? I have to manually clear the notification on my watch or it'll sit there all day, despite being read on my phone. It's been like that for a while, even though a watch reset and re-pairing as new (not from backup). But I seem to recall that it wasn't always like that -- that clearing it on the phone would clear it on the watch also.
If I read the email on my watch, the notification disappears as expected. Watch is a series 5 on OS 7.4.1; iPhone 11 Pro is on 14.5.1.
