Going from Series 3 to Series 4 watch.

I have a rubber bumper case for my watch and a plastic protective cover that I alternate.

Guessing I am going to need new accessories? The size of the watch itself, is it the same or larger/bulker?

Thanks

I gotta ask... why?
Who are you saving it for? You can’t enjoy the clean look with all that stuff, then when you sell it, it’s still worth almost nothing even if flawless.

I work in a warehouse. My arm is always banging into metal equipment. I don't need to ruin my watch while at work. That is when I need protection. When I am out and about socially, I take off the protection.

Now hopefully my question can be answered.

Well the new cases are wider, longer, curved different and less thickness with a larger and different shaped display plus the Digital Crown is different and the mic relocated to the opposite side. So does that answer your question?:D

Hope this helps you as well. You definitely will need a different case if you go the route of covering up your Apple Watch.

Thank you so much, all, for the answers.

Don't see any protective cases on sale yet from anyone. Spigen usually has the best cases, but nothing yet.

Thanks. That's a good reason. I had never considered that type of situation. Thanks for enlightening me.

Not only is the case in a different size. Mic & speakers holes are different from the old watch.

Cases probably won’t go on sale until launch day. Most likely the 3rd parties already have the schematics. Apple encourages 3rd parties to not sell cases or accessories until launch day. While they aren’t required to follow that most of them have been respectful of it to stay in Apples good graces.

Yep sometime I work around

Sometimes I work in and around heavy machines and equipment. I’ve often pondering getting a case for my watch. I’ve banged the watch a couple times on things and am lucky nothing scratched or got broken.

I don’t think it is the size that would be the main problem, it’s the fact that they moved the microphone and speakers to different positions. I work retail, so I know how important it is to have protection!

Get the stainless steel option. I absolutely abuse mine and other than some relatively easy to buff out scratches on the stainless itself it is perfect.
