Well I just pulled the trigger and ordered a maxed out (BTO obviously) glossy 15.4 inch MBP. I bought this for travel (hence the choice for 15.4). At home I have a maxed out 24 inch iMac (well its not actually maxed out anymore now that the 3.06's are out).

Anyway, both are obviously glossy, but the 15.4 MBP does not get to have the high res HD screen. Am I gonna be disappointed with the MBP screen? I am also wondering if I am gonna think its slow since the iMac is 2.8 and the MBP is 2.6.

What do you folks think? It was a fair chunk of change and I just hope I don't think its a "pig with pearls"...in comparison that is.

Regards,

The MBP is a great machine, and you won't be able to notice the 0.2GHz difference between it and your iMac.

You didn't purchase your RAM from Apple, did you? If so, try to cancel your order. Third party RAM is the way to go -- Apple charges WAY too much for the stuff they sell.
