I am trying to create a straight/regular text block (say 6 lines of stacked text) on a black frame in iMovie 6.0.3 and I seem to be stuck with having to use a title efx that makes all the lines adiffrent text size as opposed to one full block of equal-sized text. I am trying to get one single text block, like an old silent movie dialog card, all the same size, coming in on the same cue with the same efx.

am I missing somme very obvious detail. Or is this something that can't be done, although it seems unlikely.

Any help from and iMovie veterans will bring a big thank you...

I guess you could try the scrolling block, set the scroll speed to zero, and teh pause to the time you want. With scroll set to zero, it may not be on the screen yet though.

you could do something in photoshop or the like at 720x480 resolution and save it as jpeg and import it to imovie. It will be a still but you could have multiple lines of text.....
