Am I missing something or is there no Dark Mode in Apple News (MacOS)?

Is it true that there is no Dark Mode in Apple News yet?

I don't typically use News on MacOS, but I was quite surprised upon launching it this evening to discover the bright white pages. My iMac is using Dark Mode, and there doesn't appear to be any display settings to this end. I was assuming that News was white on my iPhone because there is no dark mode yet for iOS.

I hope if this is indeed the case, that Apple can take note of the demand for Dark Mode within News. I have created a poll here - please vote to indicate your support.

How about a poll for simply having proper OS-level color schemes?

The fact that Windows users could create a "dark mode" or any other color scheme they wanted (and have all applications honor it automatically) from 1991 on is embarrassing for Apple and its vaunted UI.

The fact that Apple is still hard-coding a limited set of UI colors is just amateur-hour.

Not to mention that forcing a glaring, inverse color scheme on users for the last 30 years was dumb to begin with.
