Hi. I just sold my old iPhone on ebay.

I listed it on fixed price and someone just bought it.

One interesting thing is that, I actually got an email from paypal.com saying that the buyer paid and I must ship now.

The email also said this transaction is eligible for seller protection and buyer's address is confirmed.

Logged in to paypal and I see the same message. (Email was not a fake)

But the real problem is on the Ebay.com side.

When I log in to Ebay.com -> my ebay -> selling tab,

It says, "Buyer has not completed check out" and on the left side it also shows

Payments (last 60 days)
Received
$0.00
Not received
$429.00

(The iPhone I sold was for $429)

Do you think I am safe to ship my iPhone to this buyer?

Thank you so much for reading.

Are you new to ebay? I believe funds get held until the buyer receives the item if you're a new seller. What does the buyer's feedback look like?

Hi. I have sold like tens of items (mostly consumer electronics) and bought (maybe) hundreds of items. Member since 2008. 100% positive feedbacks.

The buyer seems to be purchasing and selling lots of iPhones. (maybe running a business?) Feedbacks are mostly positive.

I don't know why ebay.com is still showing that payment is not yet made.

Does it tell you what method he used to pay?

It says, "Mobile Express Checkout Payment Received" on the middle of the page and "Payment Type: Instant" at the bottom of the page. Thanks for your help. :)

You're good to go then. As far as the funds being held, i'm not sure why that is. Just make sure when you send it that it's trackable and require a signature.
