Hello Everyone. Sorry for the redundance of this post, but I have been waiting for Macworld before I buy my MBP. I have looked around as thoroughly as I could and didn't see any updates that would effect my purchase. I just wanted to know now would be a wise time to get a MBP 2.33Ghz? Thank you again for your patience with such a common question.

They probably won't be updated soon. You'll get iLife06 while if you wait (hopefully) you'll get iLife07

The only thing I can see on the near horizon is iLife '07 (which might come very soon), Leopard - likely months away - and maybe minor CPU and RAM bumps. Go ahead... you should be fine. Or wait a week to see if iLife '07 is announced.

why do apple computers need dx10 graphics cards

It took me a while to figure that one out. Basically when someone says they want a "DirectX 10 video card", they actually mean that they want a "video card with hardware support for the new features in DirectX 10" (which presumably are/will be available in OpenGL too).

Either that, or they're going to ruin their computer with Boot Camp.
