I got a bit of a quandary... My friend and I planned on ordering a ppv about a month ago. The show starts at 4pm our time. He decides that since his other friend is showing up late (6pm) due to work he will just go ahead and go play intermural softball at 5:30p, "cause his team needs him" thus not starting the ppv until AFTER the show has ended at around 7:30-8pm. He tells me this not when he finds out he has a game last Sunday, but when I happen to ask him about it 3 days before the show.

So I say screw it... Just going to watch the show at home with my wife then... And ditch out on my friends.

Am I the jerky one here? Cause they can't seem to understand why I'm ditching them...

No, they decided to ditch you and made plans for something else, so why feel bad about watching it like you had planned?

That's what I said... they don't seem to get it.

Thanks... was beginning to feel like I was the one being unreasonable.

Is this wrestlemania 28?? :D:cool::p

Yup! But the same would apply for if this was ANY PPV or the Superbowl, NBA playoff game etc. Who wants to watch the event after it ends?

I'm old... if I'm going to start it at 8 I'd rather just look up the matches online and go to bed at 10.

Sounds to me like he wants the three of you to watch it together but had some prior engagement he forgot to mention (which he should have done). I don't see what's wrong with watching it after the airing of the event though. It wasn't right of him to decide to go play at a baseball game but that doesn't mean it's ok to ditch him.

I also don't want to be out til midnight or later. My wife and I have got work on Monday.

A grown man in a quandary over Wrestlemania. Must be an April Fool's joke.

I have some friends in their mid twenties that love the stuff, and another old co-worker who is in his 40s that is also addicted.

Personally I never got into it, but that's just me.

First world problems.

Are you really having a fit over watching a tv show at 4:00 vs. 7:00? I say either suck it up and watch it later, or suck up the cost and watch it at 4:00, eat your mushed peas and be in bed by 8:30. ;)

Thanks for being judgemental. Proves a point I have about some of the people on this site. I didn't note what event it was at first because if this...

The point is my friends are rude for throwing plans I made with them out the window to play stupid ass softball. What my time isn't valuable? I have no issue getting the event on my own. I just wanted to see it with my friends. But not if it is after the show is over. It's possibly the dumbest thing I ever heard of. Who cares about the Super Bowl 3 hours later?

If you don't know who wins, what does it matter when you watch it?

So long as you can watch it from the beginning, it wouldn't matter to me if I saw it live or three hours later.

Personally, I'd wait for my friends.

They're a lot more fun than your wife, anyway. ;)
