I went to the store last Saturday to have a look as I’m not sure which one will I get and I really didn’t like the 12 pro at all. The mirror edged looked so ugly to me, instead of pro look a cheap paint.

I like the design a lot but those edges.... finally i think I’ll get a regular 12.

I see that most people are loving this stainless steel mirror edges, am I the only one whom hates them?

I have a 12P and it’s fugly.

No it isnt the only one
I also prefer the edges of iPhone 12, mat finish all the way
But imo the 12 Pro mat finish rear is stunning as well
They doing same sheet since iPhone X, i hated so much those flucking mirrored edges

Somethings changed in the finish of the pro. I have had the iPhone X, iPhone 11 Pro, and now the 12 pro, and neither the X or 11 pro looked so cheap with the mirror finish. The 11 pro looks much more flat in color compared to the 12 pro. It definitely looks cheap to me. Like to mirrored cheap car tint.

An iPhone 13 Pro Mini with mat finish edge and back, would be stunning as hell
Even further, an iPhone 13 Pro Mini with all mat finish + touch ID on the side/under screen [no hideous notch] = dream iPhone

I don’t blame you. While I like the phone, I’m not super impressed. It just seems not all that different than the 11 Pro. Not sure what I was expecting, but it isn’t too exciting of an upgrade.

Don't like any of the 12 pro's too shiny and no black, graphite looks like my 11 pro SG with bling edges, black 12 would be my only choice.

Maybe you can be the first person to do a brushed stainless finish on your iPhone 12 Pro!

Exact same for me.
Perfect design would be aluminum black edges with a black mat back I guess.

I hate shiny stuff on an iPhone. I'm not a girl looking for jewelry or in desperate need of attention. I'm looking for a phone with masculine and clean design.

I appreciate classy contrasts in texture and color on Apple products.
Matte vs reflective. Painted vs Chrome. Dark vs light.
All very well done.

I truly couldn’t decide without seeing them in person because I had a bad feeling about the flat chrome that in renders and pictures looked like cheap chromed plastic. So today I trekked out to an Apple Store and got to hold them all and even knowing it’s stainless steel, my suspicion was confirmed. The flat chrome bands don’t work.

The metallic bands just don’t aesthetically feel right both chrome and flat. Unlike the iPhone X’s beautifully curved edges where the chrome felt jewel-like as in the Apple Watch, the flat edges look unfinished. A thinner chrome band could’ve worked better with the glass front and back protruding slightly like the iPhone 4/5 and with chamfered edges.

In past iPhone reveals, if something didn’t seem right in pictures, the real thing in real life just worked. But this time, for the first time ever, I regret to say that I don’t like the look of the new iPhones. We’re officially out of the Jony Ive era.

Yeah I feel like the iphone 12 edges would be the better combo. Fingerprint magnet. I guess it's another reason for a case..

I'm not a huge fan of them either. I wish they had a matte finish or a brushed finish as I think that would look much better. Not a deal breaker for me though.

I think graphite is their best looking iPhone ever.

Gold, on the other hand? Unbelievably hideous.

Unlike birds and barracuda, I don’t like shiny metal either. Not on my car. Not on my phone.

Good news is, most people wrap their $1,000 phone in a $37 case so we won’t have to look at it.

I don't like the shiny edes of the pro, nor the painted edges either of the regular 12. I think brushed edges would have looked better on all models. Actually, I'm not crazy about any off the colors and trims on any of the phones this year. Will go with black on the Mini. It looks alright.
