I just got my iphone back after about a year of not using it. I used to have unlimited data with ATT but now that they dont offer unlimited data i have 2gb. When im connected to wifi, does the phone recognize that and not use my data or do i have to turn my service off? Thanks! (Using Iphone 4)

Also regarding my new phone, out of box i fully charged it and overnight with use of few small apps its gone to 80% battery. Is that normal for just getting it?

It was on push. Should i just use fetch?

Push will kill your battery. With my old 2G iPhone It was cutting my battery life in half. I would switch to fetch or turn it off all together. If you turn if off all together it'll only get emails when you open the mail application. It's really your choice but push I would try switching to a less frequent update and see how your battery life changes.
