Am I using Tiny Umbrella right?

Okay so my iphone is in recovery mode and I downloaded Tiny Umbrella to help me and like I click Exit Recovery and all it does is put the apple logo and then a black screen. Am i doing it right, if not, please tell me why and what is happening.
