Even though I have an iPhone 4S (It's my first model iPhone I owned) ever since my family moved to AT&T and my mom got an iPhone 3GS.. I've strangely feel the desire to play with it and want one.

Just the way it feels in the hand.. the way the screen feels, I don't know, I just really love that phone.

Why? I have the latest model and yet I'm fascinated by the 3GS.

I really can't bring myself to explain this.

I've never had any iPhone besides the 4S, it's form factor is such that when you hold it to your ear, all you have to touch basically is the metal band, but I like that.

However, I do get excited when I see the original, older generation iPhones, it's just something epic about them.

I like the 3GS form factor so much more than the 4/4s. Used one when I sold my 4 and was waiting for my 4s. Brought back good memories.

I really hate the rectangle shape of the phone..

Wow, that's really funny as I love the form factor (shape) of the 4S, as I did not to much on the 3GS... Interesting on what people like...

So is it just the way it feels in your hands?
The 4S is way better obviously than the 3GS tech wise.
Swap phones for a day and use hers and see if you can tell a difference and what one you like better in the end.

you won't be too excited when you drop that 4S on the ground. i loved the 3GS; every time i dropped it, it for some reason always landed on its back.

I have to agree with the OP. My mom, too, has the 3GS and I love holding hers whenever I go to her house. I think the iPhone 4/4S is gorgeous but there's something about that 3GS that is comforting.

It slipped out of my pocket. It landed on it's back. I know it's made of glass, but it acted as plastic, and there was no scratches.

Lucky.

When I first got my white 3G I let a cute Asian girl on my track team play with it and when handing it back to me, she dropped it and thus landed face first on the concrete. Completely shattered. :( didn't make her pay though, luckily my original iPhone still worked.

Not weird, some people like and drive antique and older cars, they might not have the same performance and comforts but they see something in them.

Sounds to me like you're not responsible enough for a cell phone much less a very expensive one such as an iPhone. Why is it so hard for you to hold onto your phone? I guess you're lucky it didn't break.

I really hate the rectangle shape of the phone..

It took me awhile to get used to it when i upgraded from my 3GS to my 4s, but i love it now. Feels really natural to hold.

Should be interesting for the next iPhone to see if they go back to a tapered design or stick with the "boxy" shape of the current iPhone.

Accidents happen. Most people don't drop their phones on purpose but it happens.

My girlfriend's favourite is the original iPhone with the metal back. She thinks it was the best design yet. She still uses it, but is looking forward to the iPhone 5.

I like them all in honesty. (On my third now, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4) I don't think there's been an ugly iPhone yet.

Are you saying you've never dropped your phone?
