Can someone help with this question.

Apparently the below is a common fault with the MacBook and I am wondering how to fix it OR if it is going to become a problem - this is:

a very thin crack has developed along the bottom case right near the spine.

I have been told that if I download smcfancontrol that this could help - is this true and if so what fan speed should I run.

Thank you

Annie

I dont know about the crack. But as for SMC fan control the speed really depends on what your doing, rendering will require max speed for example. I leave mine on default until I start editing and animating then increase it.
